UPDATES:
Looking for an
exceptionally clean stepside? A friend of mine is unfortunately
forced to sell his to satisfy Uncle Sam. The truck is a 1975 GMC
C-15 short bed stepside. It is powered by a factory numbers
matching 454 that breathes thru Sanderson shorty headers and a 3" dual
exhaust. Backing up the engine is a th400 and 3.73 posi. All
this puts the power to the pavement with Centerline Telestar wheels.
It is a factory AC truck, which has been upgraded to Vintage Air.
It also has a beautiful wood bed floor, and the truck is painted GM
Bright White with Candy Apple red stripes. At $19,000 OBO (price
recently lowered!) it isn't
exactly cheap, but when you consider what it would cost to build a
similar vehicle and the time it would take...it is a much better deal
than you might think (trust me, I know!). This is a beautiful
truck my friends. Truck is located in the St Louis area. If
interested, you can contact John at

Finally had some time to provide some updates on my truck. Click the link below to be taken to that portion of the build. Added a couple more garage articles...aftermarket A/C & LS1/4L80E installation. I also added four salesmen information packets to go along with the 1981 version I added back in January, they can be found in the brochures page.
Found and purchased some really neat 73-87 stuff recently! It consist of information on the Desert Fox, Chevrolet Sport, and aftermarket Sun Tiger convertible conversion. Click the thumbnails below to be taken to the page. Added some new tech articles to the Garage. They include sound deadening install, weather-stripping install, interior installation, hidden door speaker installation, a suspension static drop installation and post suspension rebuild performance review. All great articles, so start reading. Some new updates, click the thumbnail to see full size image. Also added a hidden door speaker tech article from a newer issue of Custom Classic Trucks. It can be found in the interior portion of the garage. Found a couple cool postcards recently, one of which was put out by Meyer in 1976...featuring their "Seventy-sixer" package you could add to your GM truck with the purchase of one of their snow plow packages. Keen eyes might also spot what appears to be Chuck Norris in the drivers seat! Check it out in the postcards page.
I also found a couple really cool 1976 Blazer articles, both from Four Wheeler magazine of the same year. One is a soft top Blazer article, the other is of Vic Hickeys Blazer. Go to the 73-80 Road Test Articles page to read all about them.
Back in 1981, GM put out a brochure comparing their 1981 light duty trucks to Fords 1981 light duty trucks. I came across this and had to have it, and think you will all enjoy it as well. This can be found in the 73-87 GM Brochures page, along with some other cool brochures and information provided by other on-line friends and visitors.
Truckin' Magazine wrote a cool article a while back titled The Advantages of Building a 73-87 Chevy. I had the magazine, and with the popularity of these trucks growing so rapidly, I decided to scan it and publish it in case any of you missed it...neat little article. Click on the thumbnails to see the full size images. This article can also be found in the 73-87 info page, along with lots of other valuable information and data. Lately I have been receiving numerous E-mails requesting help decoding all sorts of engines and transmissions. Unfortunately I do not own any engine or transmission suffix books, but I can however tell you where to begin your search. Visit Mortec.com, there is a ton of information on their site pertaining to Chevrolet engines, and more than likely you will find what you are looking for there. If that doesn't answer your question, please visit any of the sites below, all are filled with owners of these trucks (and older), someone is bound to know there. My screen name is bigblock73 on all four, stop by and say hi.
